PharmaCare has created a comprehensive yet simple system that gives your team the tools to ensure that your residents receive accurate and timely medications through an easy to use system. And, we don’t use a delivery company that can never seem to get your medications to you—We use certified pharmacy technicians to deliver medications. PharmaCare has implemented WorkFlow, an innovative safety feature that uses bar-coding technology to ensure that the correct medication is dispensed. Three electronic matches are required to fill an order.

Tools to Make Medication Management Effortless
Our browser-based software allows your nurses to order refill medications on-line through a secure portal. The easy-to-use browser based software allows authorized employees to access, search, edit and print medication information quickly and easily. And, the information is stored electronically, so queries are immediate, fast and easy.

With PharmaCare’s Web Connect, you have the ability to access pharmacy data, submit orders, and check on the status of deliveries. We’ve also implemented bar code scanning technology that allows your nurses to quickly send refill orders directly into our fax queue. PharmaCare has implemented voice-to-speech technology, which automatically transcribes the order into text. This allows our pharmacist to “double check” the voice order with the text transcription, verifying the order, reducing the potential for medication errors, and decreasing the need for follow-up phone calls to the caregiver to clarify orders. Because both voice and text orders are digital, they are both electronically filed into the residents chart, improving our ability to perform quality checks and follow up on inquiries.

In addition, our pharmacist conducts medication reviews, which is especially helpful to residents taking multiple medications prescribed by various doctors who may not communicate with each other. We also provide a comprehensive drug-drug –allergy interaction safety check to minimize negative pharmaceutical interactions.

From Here to Eternity
Have you ever been awaiting an urgent delivery, only to find out that the medication was delivered to the wrong facility, or worse, disappeared? Ratherthan save a few dollars by contracting the delivery services to a third party, PharmaCare uses its own certified pharmacy technicians for deliveries. We won’t deliver your medications to the wrong facility, drugs won’t get “lost,” and you will be assigned the same pharmacy technician to deliver your medications. That way, he or she will get to know your staff, resolve issues on the spot and learn your caregiver’s needs. Simply log into our secure server and you will see an up to the second map of exactly where your delivery tech is located.

Safe and Secure
All of your residents’ medications are inserted into tamper-evident bags. In addition, all prescriptions are scanned before being placed in the bags, and re-scanned on your end to ensure that they have not been tampered with. You can get delivery verification instantaneously because we incorporated GPS technology, verifying the exact location that the medications were delivered, along with date, time and who signed for the medications.
